Image: Niko Dimitrijevic Line and Frame. 2018. Reclaimed fluorescent tubing, wood, steel, and generator. Dimensions vary.

Born in the United States, Niko Dimitrijevic received his BFA in glass and sculpture from Alfred University in 2004 and his MFA in glass at The Ohio State University in 2018. Most recently his work has manifested as temporary site-responsive installations using light or its properties to define a given space. He will often incorporate or solely rely on found/reclaimed materials as the basis for both his installation and glass work.

Niko Dimitrijevic’s background is predominantly as a glassblower and he has lectured, demonstrated, and taught throughout the United States and Canada. He has been a studio assistant for Ann Hamilton, a full-time glassblower for the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA, and a resident artist at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, Ontario. He is currently the 2018 Procter Fellow in the Glass Workshop at the ANU School of Art & Design.
